Senator Stabenow Votes to Confirm Robert Lighthizer as U.S. Trade Representative

U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) today released the following statement after voting to confirm Robert Lighthizer as the next United States Trade Representative:

“Robert Lighthizer has decades of international trade experience that I expect him to use to hold countries like China accountable when they violate our trade laws and hurt our Michigan workers and businesses.  I look forward to working with him on a trade agenda that levels the playing field for our workers and manufacturers and creates new opportunities for our farmers to export their products.”
