Senator Stabenow Statement on the Passing of Arab-American Leader Michael Berry

U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow today issued the following statement regarding the passing of Michael Berry, a Dearborn attorney and former chairman of the Wayne County Road Commission.

"I am very saddened to hear about the passing of Michael Berry, who was an impressive leader and a true pioneer in Southeast Michigan's Arab American community. Being among the founding Muslim families in Dearborn, his commitment to equality helped secure economic opportunities for Arab Americans, break down cultural barriers and bring the community together."
