Senator Stabenow Statement on Passing of Rev. Nicholas Hood Sr.

U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow issued the following statement following the passing of Rev. Nicholas Hood Sr.:

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Rev. Nick Hood, a champion of the Civil Rights Movement, devoted minister, and dedicated Detroit public servant. A founding member of the Southern Christian Leadership Council, he committed his life to breaking down the barriers of prejudice to achieve social justice. My thoughts and prayers go out to Rev. Hood’s entire family and to everyone whose lives he touched.”
