WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow released the following statement on President-elect Biden’s selection of Xavier Becerra as his nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services.

“Xavier Becerra has spent his career fighting to make sure every American has access to quality, affordable health care. He and I partnered together as we worked to pass the Affordable Care Act, and as Attorney General, he’s led the defense of the law in the Supreme Court. He will be ready to lead our nation out of the COVID-19 crisis on Day One.”
