Sen. Stabenow Statement on Drs. Mona Hanna-Attisha and Marc Edwards Being Named on TIME’s 100 Most Influential People List

U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow issued the following statement after Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha and Dr. Marc Edwards were both named on TIME’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

“When there is a crisis in our community, we hope there are individuals courageous enough to step up on behalf of families whose voices are not being heard. In Flint, those heroes were Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha and Dr. Marc Edwards. Both responded to a serious problem and applied their knowledge and expertise to demonstrate the severity of the public health crisis. This recognition could not have gone to two more deserving individuals, and we’ll always remember the role they played in helping the children and families of Flint.”
