WASHINGTON— U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) issued the following statement congratulating Midland, Michigan for being named “Tennis Town, U.S.A.” by the United States Tennis Association.

“It is a wonderful honor to have the United State Tennis Association name Midland as the top tennis community in the nation.  Along with the title of being Tennis Town, U.S.A., Midland will receive $100,000 to enhance its tennis facilities and programs.  I am proud that the Mid-Michigan community rallied together to get the most votes, and organized events to demonstrate why Midland was deserving of this honor.  It is outstanding that Michigan has communities like the Great Lakes Bay Region that demonstrate such great support for each other.”
